By way of quick treasurer's report, we
had income since the April meeting of $2,573 from 50-50, dues, sponsorship
and entry fees. We had expenses of $2,837 for food and beverages, gift
cards, rent, skins and supplies. Our balance is $5,634.37.
George Melnik reviewed the minutes from the March 18 2014 meeting
Bill Glitch review the handicap system used by the golf club as far as posting books, emailing Bill and posting your own scores on line. Bill said he would cover some other detail of the handicap system at other meetings
New Member Ray Coe was introduced and welcomed
Tournament Directors Reports:
Ye Olde Alpha, Speidel Medal & Handicap Greg Gaudino reviewed the results and stats from the Ye Olde Alpha tournament at Speidel Jones. He also wanted to thank the Alpha for the great food provided for the event. Event had 85 Players
Dubie Dailer Memorial Generations: Dubie was unavailable due to Graduation, results will be announced at next months meeting. Event had 120 players
Miklas Meat Market: June 1st, Harry Himrod mentioned he has the signup sheet and is ready to take entries for this tournament.
Kalkrueth Roofing & Sheet Metal: June 14th & 15th Dan Tennant. Applications are available at this time or are available on line @ www.oglebaygc.com Dan is still in need of workers for the event, anyone who volunteers will receive a nice hat & golf shirt. Please see Dan.
Stoney Hollow Tire July 12th & 13th Tom Gaudino asked that any club member please turn in their Stoney Application so he can start setting up tee times and groups for club. There will be workers signup available at next month's meeting. A worker get together is held at Speidel cabin #10 the Wednesday evening before the event where you will pickup your shirt @hat and receive other information.
George Melnik mentioned that club member Steve Domyan was admitted to Wheeling Hospital for Cardiac Bypass surgery and asked you keep him in your prayers.
Scott Blass made a suggestion that we may consider a team event for the Snowbird to entice greater participation.
