Meeting Minutes


Meeting Called to order by President Dan Tennant



Dan Tennant,   Harry Himrod, Dave Sims,.Bernie Marcellus, Bill Glitch, Jay Grob, Jim Dailer Randy Hardman and Tom Gaudino


Absent: George Melnik, Tim Pelley, Jim Tysk and Mark Maguire Sr.


Treasurer's Report:

Dave Sims passed out this months treasurer's report, Net Balance as of 9-15-15 was $17,020.60


Secretary Report:

Membership moved that the Secretary report was accepted as read, motion was seconded and passed. Printed copies of the August meeting minutes are on the website..


Handicap Committee:

Bill Glitch said the next time for handicap cards will be printed will be October 14th for the tournament on Oct 16th.  The season will end on November 1st and the books will be collected for the season.  You can still post on line in the off season if you are playing the regular course.


Tournament Directors Reports:

Wesbanco Labor DayTournemt Labor Day, Dave Sims reviewed the tournament

Bordas & Bordas 3 Man mix: September 13th- James Dailer reviewed the results from the Bordas & Bordas 3 Man Mix.


Upcoming Tournament Reports:

Wheeling Volkswagen Subaru Stage day: September 27th, Dave Sims discussed the upcoming Stag Day event on Sept 27th.  Mike Mazure in addition to his $1200 sponsorship will be providing up to $10,000 in girt certificates to be use at the dealership on new or used cars.


Progressive Bank 2 Man Best Ball Palmer Course: October 18th, Tom Gaudino is tournament Director is taking signups for the meeting. the sign up board will be at stag day or contact Tom directly


Tj' Restaurant & Sports Garden:  Bernie Marcellus went over the results of the tournament. 60 members of the club participated.  Tj donated $3000 for the tournament, make sure next time you see him please thank him.


OLD Business:   None


NEW Business:  Bernie introduced a new member, Penn Kurtz.

                                    Ray Coe proposed that a player who joins after August 1st, should pay 1/2 price to encourage new members and maybe they will join                                       the following year. We will discuss this during the off season.


                                    Scott Blass discussed the Drive for a Cure Scramble October 9th at Palmer Course. They are serving 18 hospitals with proceeds from                                             the tournament.


Question from the Membership:  Can you drop a ball in a hazard ?  Will be researched for meeting.
