The First Tee Junior Golf Camps

The First Tee Golf Camp Details

Camps begin each day with formal golf instruction on the practice green, short game area, and driving range working on skills including putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play, and the full swing. Focus is on stance, posture, grip, and stroke/swing fundamentals. A strong emphasis is placed on rules and etiquette throughout the week to ensure that each camper learns not just technique but all aspects of the game.

Lunch is provided on site daily followed by on-course instruction in the afternoon.

Full day camps include The Ponds at Battle Creek junior golf camp amenity package, range balls, greens fees, and lunch daily.

If needed, fitted junior golf clubs are available at no additional charge to use for the week through our "Sticks for Kids" program.

Since opening in 2004, The Ponds at Battle Creek, under the direction of PGA Professional Brad Behnke, has been dedicated to providing quality junior golf programs for hundreds of area youth of all skill levels. Brad and his staff’s passion and commitment to teaching the great game of golf, along with all of the values it instills, are featured in these Junior Golf Camps.

There is no question that children who learn to play golf discover early that achieving their goals requires a positive attitude and great dedication. Junior golfers acquire work habits and values that serve them well now and perhaps, throughout their lives. Our instructors strive to make your junior golfer the best player he or she can be, and take great pride in seeing your child improve their swing, sink more putts, and lower their scores.

That being said, the primary goal is to provide a positive and fun learning environment where students are able to flourish under the direction of highly skilled and motivated instructors while having a great time!

PGA Tour star Rickie Fowler says, "At The First Tee, some of the best golf lessons don’t involve a golf swing"
